The Pickens County Campus Police Department is a well trained and established police force.  The top priority of this department is providing for the safety of our county’s youth and its educators, while facilitating its education endeavors.

Our officers are all Certified Police Officers by the state of Georgia.  While each officer is trained in juvenile procedures, civil liability, search and seizure, defense tactics, criminal law, firearms policy and qualifications, first aid/CPR; each officer has also attended training specific to methods of securing our schools in the event of acts of violence against them.  Additionally, the Chief of Police holds a certification as a School Resource Officer specializing in educational based law enforcement and delivery of in-service training of topics related to trends and crimes that are more closely associated with the juvenile demographic.

PCCP has developed an email address where tips can be submitted and kept confidential, as well as an anonymous phone tip line where any concerns can be conveyed and remain anonymous.  All information received will be fully investigated to the greatest extent possible.

Furthermore, The State of Georgia has a safety hotline that can also be utilized at 1-877-729-7867.  Operators will contact the appropriate Law Enforcement Agencies and the local School System.
